How do I read this?

A median is the middle price. It moves with which homes sold. A ZIP with many condos will show a lower median than a ZIP with mostly detached houses. So a median is not the value of your home, and it is not a measure of how well a ZIP "did." 22213 had only 11 sales, so treat that row as a rough guide.

What stands out?

  • Homes in 22205 and 22207 sold in about 17 to 26 days. Homes in 22204 and 22201 took about 50 days or more.

  • In most ZIPs, sellers received less than 100% of their original price. 22205 and 22213 were above it.

  • The number of sales ranged from 11 to 105.

What does this mean for my home?

It means your street and your type of home matter more than the county number. A fair price comes from recent sales of homes like yours, not from a ZIP average. Online and preliminary estimates are starting points. A property's potential market value depends on its condition, location, features, competition, market conditions, and other factors.

FAQ

Can I price my home from this table?

No. Use it for context. We build your price from comparable sales near you.

Why do some ZIPs take longer?

It can come from the types of homes, the price, and how many are for sale. The report does not say why.

Are these results a promise?

No. They are past results for the county.
