Homes took a while. Averages ran from 28 days in Fairfax to 38 in Arlington.
Sellers got most of their price. Between 98.0% and 99.0% of the original asking price.
Supply was in the 2s ad 3s. Arlington and Alexandria had the most choices for buyers. Fairfax had the fewest.
How do I read the median?
A median is the middle sale price. It moves with which homes sold, so Arlington's +11.1% does not mean every Arlington home is worth 11.1% more. Online and preliminary estimates are starting points. A property's potential market value depends on its condition, location, features, competition, market conditions, and other factors.
What does it mean for sellers?
Price and preparation matter. Buyers had time and choices this summer. We help every seller get ready with the White Glove Home Sale Method at no additional cost.
What does it mean for buyers?
You are not in a rush market. Compare homes, ask questions, and keep your pre-approval current.
