Alcova Heights Homes in Arlington, VA

Colonials, ramblers and bungalows on flat, larger lots between Route 50 and Columbia Pike, next to a 13-acre park.

Living in Alcova Heights

Alcova Heights homes sit between Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) and Columbia Pike, with South Glebe Road on the east and South George Mason Drive on the west. Its streets are tree-lined, and many of its lots are flatter and bigger than you find in the neighborhoods around it.

The name is a piece of Arlington history. Before 1920, Arlington was called Alexandria County, Virginia. The developer built the name from the start of each word: “Al” from Alexandria, “Co” from County and “Va” from Virginia. Alcova Heights was established in 1921 on what had been farmland, and it filled quickly with a variety of homes.

Alcova Heights Park, 13 acres of fields and courts, sits at the neighborhood's west side, and Columbia Pike's shops and restaurants are at its south edge.

How The Mike Webb Team Serves Alcova Heights

A bigger, flatter lot changes how buyers see a house. Some want the yard. Some see room to add on. Others want a new home in its place. At The Mike Webb Team, part of RE/MAX Allegiance, we price and market an Alcova Heights home with all three in mind.

Getting a house ready after many years in it can feel like too much. The White Glove Home Sale Method™ takes that off your plate: painting, handyman repairs, caulking, staging, deep cleaning, carpet and window cleaning, power washing, landscaping, removal of unwanted items or furniture, and taking donations to the charity of your choice, at no additional cost to you. Arlington County made the house a local historic district in 1978.

Alcova Heights was also one of the original neighborhoods in Arlington County's Neighborhood Conservation Program, with a neighborhood plan dating back to 1968.
