Your Free Claremont Home Value
Your Claremont home's value depends on which house you have and what has been done to it since it was built. We visit, walk through it with you, and compare it with the recent sales most like it. Then we tell you the price we believe it would bring today.
It is free, with no obligation. Whether you plan to move soon or years from now, you get a clear, straight answer.

Colonial, Cape Cod or Ranch: Each Has Its Own Comparables
Claremont's colonials and Cape Cods mostly have three levels, and its 1950s ranches live differently on one main floor. Over the years, many have gained additions, new kitchens, finished lower levels and more bathrooms, and some are close to original.
We compare your home with recent sales of the same style and size, then adjust for updates, condition and the lot. An online estimate sees a 1940s house in Arlington and stops there.
You also choose how much to do before selling. We show you two prices side by side, one prepared and one as it is. Either way, we list your home and handle the sale.
The County Assessment and Your Price
Arlington County mails its assessment notices each January. The county says it assesses property at 100% of fair market value as of January 1, and its 2026 residential assessments used sales from September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.
Those sales can be more than a year old when you list, and the county never sees the inside of your house. Treat the assessment as a reference, not as your sale price.
What the Arlington Market Is Doing
Arlington prices kept rising this year. According to Bright MLS, the county's median sale price for July through September 2026 was 11.1% higher than a year earlier, the fourth quarter in a row of gains.
Buyers have more choices than they did, though. Arlington County had about 3.9 months of supply in September 2026, up from 3.0 a year earlier. Detached houses face the least new competition: NVAR reported condo and townhouse listings in its Northern Virginia region up 49.7% from a year earlier, while detached listings rose only 5.7%. Even so, buyers compare closely, so an accurate first price matters.
Where Your House Sits in Claremont
Location inside the neighborhood can move the number. Buyers notice how close a home is to Barcroft Park and the Four Mile Run Trail, to the schools in the neighborhood and to Shirlington, and whether the street is quiet. We weigh all of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Claremont home value free?
Yes. It is free, and there is no obligation to sell or to list with us.
How much does an addition add to a Claremont home?
It depends on the size, the quality and what the addition holds. We compare your house with recent sales of similar homes with and without additions and show you the difference.
Why is my assessment different from what my home would sell for?
Arlington County values homes as of January 1 using older sales. For 2026, it used sales from September 2024 through August 2025. We use the newest sales and look at your actual house.
Are Arlington home prices going up or down?
According to Bright MLS, Arlington's median sale price from July through September 2026 was 11.1% higher than a year earlier. Buyers have more homes to choose from, so pricing right from the start matters.
