How The Mike Webb Team Serves Fairlington

Fairlington homes were built to a small set of plans, so buyers compare them closely: the association, the floor plan, the number of levels, the updates and the view. The Mike Webb Team has more than 34 years of experience pricing those details for today's buyers.

When you sell, you should not have to manage the prep work yourself. The White Glove Home Sale Method™ covers painting, handyman repairs, caulking, staging, deep cleaning, carpet and window cleaning, power washing, landscaping, removal of unwanted items or furniture, and taking donations to the charity of your choice, at no additional cost to you. Here is how selling a Fairlington home works with us.

Dave McKeon, who bought in the Fairlington-Shirlington area with us, wrote on Zillow: “They treat you like a member of their family and we will always be thankful for their help.” The Mike Webb Team is part of RE/MAX Allegiance.

Fairlington History & Neighborhoods Nearby

According to the Fairlington Historical Society, the Defense Homes Corporation bought the land in 1941 and built Fairlington from 1942 to 1944 to house workers during World War II. Architects Kenneth Franzheim and Alan B. Mills designed its 3,439 garden apartments in the Colonial Revival style, and it was the largest project the Defense Homes Corporation financed.

The government sold Fairlington to private owners in 1947, and between 1972 and 1977 the apartments were renovated and sold as condominiums. The Fairlington Historic District was added to the Virginia Landmarks Register in 1998 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, and in 2002 the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects gave it a Test of Time award.

Buyers who like Fairlington often look nearby too. Shirlington is next door, and Claremont and Green Valley are a short drive west. Which one fits is a matter of preference.

Fairlington Homes: Market & Home Types

Every Fairlington home is a condominium. Many are townhouse-style, on two, three or four levels, and others are garden-style condos on one floor, in the usual range of sizes.

The buyer is usually a first-time buyer, and sometimes an investor. If you are starting your search, see buying a home in Fairlington.

Condos and townhouses face more competition this fall. In September 2026, NVAR reported condo and townhouse listings across its Northern Virginia region up 49.7% from a year earlier, while detached listings rose only 5.7%. Arlington County had about 3.9 months of supply in September 2026, up from 3.0 a year earlier, according to Bright MLS.

The association, the floor plan, the updates and the condo fee all move the number. For a price built from real Fairlington sales, ask for a Fairlington home value report.
